Magaña passes the torch

As this year comes to a close, it has been inevitable to reflect back on my time here. It has been an incredible year full of achievements. The best part would have to have been seeing students getting involved in the various activities offered at La Quinta High School. Since the beginning of the school year, I have been proud to see students from all classes getting involved in our activities, especially some new events created this year such as Buffball, Hawk Madness, and the talent show.

It has been a great year and although my term is coming to an end, I know that next year will be even better. The executive board for next year has been working hard on finding new ways to increase student involvement, improving our rallies, and, overall, including more of our student body in activities.

With that in mind, my advice for all the students next year is to get involved by trying out for sports, joining clubs, as well as attending sporting events, dances, and other activities. Don’t take this opportunity for granted because it does not last forever! Things may get tough and get stressful in high school and sometimes you may feel like you can’t overcome the obstacles; but you can, and you will be able to make it through! Finish this year strong, and start next year refreshed!
