Senior Sunrise

Senior Sunrise

The Class of 2020 gathered on September 3, 2019 to watch the sunrise, kicking off senior year and the fun activities. The students arrived on the field at around six awhile A.S.B. played songs such as “Tongue Tied” by Grouplove and “The Less I Know the Better” by Tame Impala. These songs excited the students and started off the morning with good vibes. A.S.B. was also kind enough to provide food and drinks such as bagels, fruit and orange juice. A.S.B. Senior Class President, Joyce Henein (‘20) and ASB President, Isrra Wadi (‘20)  both gave wonderful speeches to the Senior class. Ms. Vandorn then got out her guitar and performed “Three Little Birds” by Bob Marley, a performance that many students enjoyed and called “iconic.”

When asking a few seniors what they thought about the event, Valerie Cruz (‘20) stated that her favorite part from Senior Sunrise was that, “I got to start off senior year watching the sunrise with the people I love.” and Paul Savarino (‘20) said he thought the event was, “…a really nice way to start out senior year with all of my friends, and it reminded me to make the most of the last year I have together with them.”  Overall, Senior Sunrise was a nice way to start off this difficult year that the seniors have to come. Thank you to everyone who participated and to A.S.B. for coordinating this event!
