  • Attention Seniors: Tuesday, February 6, 2018 La Quinta High School will hold auditions for Senior students interested in performing the national anthem at the Class of 2018 graduation.For more information and to sign up – Please see Daniel Leon in the Counseling Office.
  • Come one come all and please come join us this Friday during lunch in New Gym to hear lead pastor Craig Cunningham speak, as well as play giant volleyball and more! Everyone is welcome.
  • Applications are now available for juniors interested in the Rotary Youth Leadership Trip in April. This opportunity is for juniors interested in developing their leadership abilities. Please see your counselor for more information or for an application. The submission deadline is Thursday the 25th.
  • AP Exam registration has begun. Please stop by the Counseling Office for a registration form. Registration closes the first week of March so do not delay!
  • CALLING ALL STUDENTS! You are invited to a FREE outdoor movie at the LQHS Football field on Thursday 1/25 at 6:30 put on by Friday Night Live. Bring your blankets, pack your hoodies and prepare for a movie under the desert stars! Concessions will be available!! What a fun way to wind down after finals week with your friends!!
  • Calling all talented Blackhawks! We will be holding Talent Show Auditions on January 31st and February 1st in the main Gym at lunch. Check your emails to apply online The talent show will be Feb 9th!
  • Junior and Seniors boys! We are having a Buff Ball Volleyball game Feb 23rd at lunch where the Junior boys take on the senior boys! Come to ASB for a permission slip!
  • Second semester club rush will be Jan 29th and 30th in the quad. Remind your advisors to sign your club up to have a table and get new members!
  • Each month the LQHS Staff submits nominations for the Above the Line Award. These staff members go above and beyond to support students and the entire La Quinta High School Community. November’s winner for Above the Line was Mr. Mike Wagner. December’s winner for Above the Line was Ms. Erica Padilla-Garcia. Congratulations to you both for going above the line!
  • Grad Nite is June 9th – We will leave LQHS at 8 AM and return June 10th at 5AM. If you purchased a Senior Package you have already purchased a Grad Nite Ticket. Come to ASB for a permission slip and to verify your bus number. If you DID NOT purchase a Senior Package and need a Grad Nite Ticket the price is $195 and SPACE IS LIMITED. Come to ASB to purchase and to get a permission slip. Tickets will be sold on a first come first serve basis until all bus seats are filled.
  • Softball try outs begin January 29th for NEWCOMERS ONLY (Freshmen, Transfers, those who have never tried out for softball before, and those who have tried out, but have yet to make the team). RETURNERS along with newcomers who made the first cut report to try outs February 1st. You must have your physicals completed online to try out. Get them done!
