Girls’ Soccer Has a Rocky Start

The LQHS girls’ soccer team started their season off rough with two ties and losses right out of the gate. Kenia Verduzco (‘20), who plays forward, explained that, “having a new coach has been quite the transition… adjustment was a bit difficult, but it has allowed our captains to take the role and be role models to us.”

With the new integrations, the team has been working harder than ever to compensate for changes, and expect improvements to be made as the season progresses. Center midfielder Brisa Gonzalez (‘19) states, “This season will definitely be more competitive than past years, but I expect my team to play with heart and take the D.E.L. title.”

As always we wish our ladies the best of luck as they take on competitors SHHS and PDHS after the winter break.
