What to Expect from Your Editors-in-Chief

John Doyle
Hello Blackhawks! Many already know me but for those freshmen, sophomores, and juniors, I’m John Doyle. After working for the Hawkview newspaper for the last two years as a copy editor, I’m happy to have made it up to the position of editor-in-chief. With Emily, Ms. Clifford, and the rest of the Hawkview staff, I’m excited to see what we produce this year.
For this year, you can expect the usual school, local, and national coverage in each issue, as well as fun little feature stories, including the renowned “What’s Up With?!?!?” column. You also should expect the continuation of our “Humans of LQHS” project on social media; you may be one of the lucky Blackhawks that’s interviewed and showcased online. Expect full coverage of Stagecoach and Coachella, the valley’s biggest events of the year, too.
That is all from me; thank you for picking up the paper, and enjoy the rest of your year!

Emily Martinez
Hey Blackhawks! If you’re new here: hi, hello, welcome! We are the amazing Hawkview newspaper, aka the best high school paper in the valley. I’m your new co-editor-in-chief, Emily Martinez and I am SO excited to be working on producing the newspaper this year with John and the entire Hawkview staff.
Alright so let’s get right to it: what are we going to do this year? Well, we’re covering the same features you all know and love, as well as, and covering more school and local events! We still have a website by the way; you can check out lqhawkview.com for more content and unabridged versions of some of the stories in this paper.
Before I go, I’d like to welcome our new Journalism adviser, Ms. Clifford! We’re so excited to work with her this year and see what she brings to the class.
Alright, that’s all I have for for now. Thanks for picking up this newspaper and thanks for finishing this long hello. Let’s make this a great year!
