Evil Carn’Evil
Founded in 2007 by Sandra Wallace, who owns Parkwil Manor, she constructed a Carn”Evil” haunted house at the River in Rancho Mirage, located next to Babe’s BBQ. Open on Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday from 7 p.m.- 11 p.m. and on Friday and Saturday from 7 p.m.- 11:30 p.m, this haunted house is not for the faint of heart. However, if you are brave enough to walk through this haunted carnival, admission is $10.
While going through this house of horrors, you will be ambushed by clowns and will be forced to walk through disorienting paths that keep you off your guard from the monsters that you are keeping watch for.
My photographer, Katie Arias (11), was practically having a panic attack the entire time. I admit I do not get scared easily, but this haunted house definitely gave me anxiety.
Wallace said, “We’ve been doing this for 10 years; we are good at what we do.” From Universal Studios to the Valley, Parkwil Manor have taken their Hollywood movie skills and love for scaring-the-living-daylights-out-of-people and compiled it into a horror fanatics work of art.
